What the provider documents say

Lear’s company page dates its business to 1997. It also states that its buyback prices are below its selling prices, so the difference matters when comparing a purchase.

The question to ask

What are the ask and bid for the same product and quantity, including every fee?

Before you accept an offer

  • Request a dated quote naming the product, weight, quantity and total purchase price.
  • Identify the dealer, IRA custodian and depository, including who charges each fee.
  • Get setup, administration, storage and exit charges in writing.
  • Read promotion conditions and the agreement governing repurchases.

Use the same assumptions when comparing offers. A headline incentive does not establish the lowest total cost.
